| TEXAN SOCCER VS FLORESVILLE On Friday January 20th The Texan Boys' Soccer team continued a great start to the 2012 season (3-0 so far) by defeating Floresville 1-0 at Tiger Stadium in Floresville. The Texans scored off of a free kick just outside the 18 yard box off a header by senior defender David Carillo. Sophomore Forward/Midfielder Clay Martin assisted with the goal with a beautifully placed kick that allowed Carillo to finish and give the Texans the victory. Once again the defense stepped up big for the Texans and kept the Tigers from scoring all night. Next up for the Texans--the Kerrville Tivy Antlers on Tuesday at Texan Stadium with a 7:00 kickoff. The Texan Girls' Soccer team lost a close one that night to Floresville 1-0, with several key players out due to injuries. Next up for the Texan Girls team--Kerrville Tivy at 5 pm at Texan Stadium. |
