State Meet
This past Saturday, November 14, Eryn Barroso ran her last cross country race in Round Rock at the
state meet. She competed, like she always does, the best she could. Eryn ran cross country for the
past 6 year starting in junior high and advancing to the state meet all four years in high school. We
are so proud of her many accomplishments and consistent hard work day in and day out. She is a
true athlete. Best of luck in college Eryn! Thanks for the wonderful example you have set!
Regional Meet
Three runners from the Wimberley Cross Country Team; Tucker Long, Eryn Barroso, and Christinee
Saine ran in San Antonio on Saturday at the regional meet. This was Eryn's 4th year, Tucker's
second, and Christinee's first to qualify for the regional meet. All runners ran hard in their races in
the heat, and represented Wimberley very well. Eryn Barroso placed 5th and will be going on to the
state meet Saturday November 14th in Round Rock. This will be the final meet for the year and will
conclude the cross country season. Way to go Texans! Good luck Eryn!!!
High School District Meet
The Texan Cross Country team has had a great year, and finished the season well on Wednesday in
Bandera. Eryn Barroso placed 3rd, Tucker Long 8th, and Christinee Saine 10th. These three have all
qualified for the regional meet which will be in San Antonio on Saturday November 7th.
Luke Dover, Ryan Barosso, Jacob Weldon, Zack DeHart, Cade Osbrone, and Taylor Gindorf all ran
great races as well. We are so proud of all of the hard work that these runners have put in every
morning at 6:00 am. We hope to see much success in the future from the team and wish the seniors
the best of luck!
Junior High District Meet
The Junior High Cross Country team ran their district meet on Saturday, October 17 in Burnet. They
showed up ready to race and had did great! We could not be more proud of the determination and
dedication of these runners this year.
The results were as follows.
8th grade girls: 3rd place as a team with Sky Hibler coming in 1st place, Ayla Eubanks (8th), Hannah
Raska (15th), Natalie Shanklin (19th), and Lauren Weir (32nd).
7th grade girls also ran very well: they got 2nd place as a team with Mariah Gentry coming in 2nd,
Jennilyn Thames (12th), Kiana Dane (16th), Hallee Allen (19th), Angela Phillips (21st), Chelsea
Bornemann (22nd), and Demi Rothberg (48th).
8th grade boys battled the tough competition getting 3rd place as a team with Clay Martin coming in
5th, Zach Johnson (11th), Reed Neal (17th), Pierce Fulkerson (28th), JJ Groves (30th), and Dan
Donaldson (32nd).
The first place 7th grade boys team consisted of Brandon Smith (2nd), Tommy Brinkman (3rd), Sam
Drew (4th), Jack Starke (5th), Trevor Blass (9th), Christian Weir (14th), Ryan Mann (24th), Callum
McBeath (32nd), and Sam Ellisor (33rd).
This meet concludes the season for the junior high team. Way to go Junior High on a season well
ran! High school will run a pre-district race this Wednesday in Bandera, and their district race on
Wednesday the 28th. Good luck High School!
