New Braunfels Meet
The team competed on February 13th in New Braunfels at Canyon High School for the final meet of
the season. The meet had many large schools including Lake Travis Westlake and SA Holmes. All
Wimberley athletes improved on the previous weeks lift totals.
Senior Chezz Bornemann, who has qualified for Regional Competition in Waco, increased his total
to 430 on squat, 325 bench and 435 deadlift. Alden Mann lifting as Wimberley’s only male freshman
increased to 260 lbs. in squat, and 340 in deadlift.
Texan ladies competing were Candace Herrera, Coral Blagg and Chandler Anderson. These ladies
showed much improvement from previous meets. Candace improved to 215 in squat, 130 bench and
240 deadlift. Coral improved to 180 squat, 105 bench and 210 deadlift and freshman Chandler
Anderson excelled in lifts of 185 squat, 105 bench and 215 deadlift.
It has been a great season and Coach Huey and Coach Holt would like to thank all lifters for their
great effort this season and commend them on an outstanding representation of Wimberley High
School Athletics.
Somerset Meet
The power lifting team competed in a meet at Somerset High School on Saturday, February 6. The
results are as follows:
